  • 12 Hawaiian sweet dinner rolls
  • 3 cups shredded rotisserie chicken
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 8 ounces thinly sliced Gouda cheese
  • 1/3 cup finely diced red onion (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro (optional)
  • 4 tablespoons garlic-herb butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F and grease a 9×13-inch sheet pan.
  2. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half while keeping them in one piece on top and bottom. Place the bottom slab in the prepared pan.
  3. In a bowl, mix shredded chicken with BBQ sauce until coated.
  4. Layer half of the cheese on the bottom rolls, followed by the BBQ chicken mixture, onions, and cilantro if desired. Top with remaining cheese before placing the top slab of rolls back on.
  5. Melt garlic-herb butter and pour over the assembled sliders, using a brush to spread it evenly.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 3–6 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and serve hot.
