- 1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1/4 cup (packed) brown sugar

- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or more, to taste)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)

Instructions
- Slice flank steak against the grain into thin pieces. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, water, vinegar, sesame oil, brown sugar, cornstarch, ginger, garlic, and red pepper flakes to make the sauce.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add broccoli florets and cook for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp. Transfer to a plate.
- In the same skillet, add remaining olive oil and sear the beef in one layer for about 2 minutes until browned but slightly rare.
- Return broccoli to the skillet with beef and pour in the sauce. Stir until well-coated and sauce thickens (1-3 minutes). Serve immediately.
