Ingredients

  • Flank steak
  • Soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • Fresh broccoli florets
  • Garlic
  • Beef broth
  • Sesame oil
  • Grated ginger

Instructions

  1. Slice flank steak thinly against the grain and mince garlic. Grate ginger and chop broccoli into florets.
  2. Marinate sliced flank steak with soy sauce and minced garlic in a mixing bowl for about 15 minutes.
  3. In a wok or large skillet, steam fresh broccoli florets with a splash of water for 3-4 minutes until bright green and crisp. Remove from pan.
  4. Heat sesame oil in the skillet over high heat, then stir-fry the marinated beef until browned (about 5-7 minutes).
  5. Add steamed broccoli, grated ginger, beef broth, and optional red pepper flakes to the skillet. Stir well and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired before serving hot.
