  • 1–2 tablespoons milk (dairy or non-dairy) (for glazing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in maple syrup, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; gradually add to wet ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Roll dough into 1½-inch balls, place on baking sheets 2 inches apart, and flatten slightly.
  6. Bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are golden brown; cool on wire rack.
  7. Prepare glaze by whisking powdered sugar with maple syrup and milk; drizzle over cooled cookies.
