- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt

- Activate the yeast by combining warm water, yeast, and sugar in a small bowl. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl or stand mixer, combine flour, softened butter, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and knead until smooth and elastic (8-10 minutes).
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled.
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 12-14 pieces. Roll each piece into a rope about 6-7 inches long and place them on a greased baking sheet.
