  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter, ghee, olive oil, or avocado oil
  • Juice from 1/2 a lemon
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter, ghee, or avocado oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Pat dry salmon filets and coat with melted butter or oil; sprinkle spice mix generously on both sides.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add more oil if needed.
  4. Cook salmon skin-side down for 4-5 minutes until browned; flip carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes until flaky.
  5. Remove from heat; drizzle with lemon juice and garnish with parsley before serving.
