Ingredients

  • 4 black tea bags
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup cherry juice (unsweetened or lightly sweetened)
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen pitted cherries
  • 12 tbsp honey or sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Ice for serving
  • Fresh mint and lemon slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a kettle or pot. Remove from heat.
  2. Steep the 4 black tea bags in the hot water for 5–7 minutes to develop flavor.
  3. Remove tea bags and stir in cherry juice, pitted cherries, sweetener (if desired), and vanilla extract.
  4. Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature before refrigerating for at least one hour.
  5. Serve over ice and garnish with mint leaves and lemon slices if desired.
