Description

Grilled Chicken Caprese is a vibrant and flavorful dish that brings together succulent grilled chicken breasts, creamy mozzarella, juicy tomatoes, and aromatic basil. Drizzled with a homemade balsamic reduction, this dish is perfect for any occasion—from summer barbecues to cozy family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 4 slices ripe tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, sliced
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Season each chicken breast with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper on both sides.
  2. Spray the grill with non-stick cooking spray and place the seasoned chicken breasts on it. Grill until nearly cooked through.
  3. Top each chicken breast with a slice of mozzarella cheese. Close the grill lid and cook for an additional few minutes until the cheese melts.
  4. Remove from the grill and add fresh tomato slices and basil on top. Drizzle with balsamic reduction before serving.
