  • 4 (8-oz) Tuna steaks (1 inch thick)
  • 1/4 cup Coconut aminos
  • 2 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp Fresh ginger (grated)
  • 2 tbsp Honey
  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together coconut aminos, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, honey, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Place tuna steaks in a plastic bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over them and seal the bag. Turn to coat evenly and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to 2 hours.
  3. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Clean grates for optimal searing.
  4. Grill marinated tuna steaks for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they reach an internal temperature of 125°F for rare or 135°F for medium-rare.
  5. Let the grilled tuna rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
